Full mouth rehabilitation involves a combination of treatments over time that can simultaneously restore the functionality of your bite, address your pain issues, and improve the esthetics of your smile. Dr. Astugue and his team always keep the big picture in mind when working with patients who have complicated oral health issues. When we create a complex treatment plan, we work with you to build a plan that moves toward the end goal while accommodating for your own unique needs and concerns.

Here at our office, we offer a wide range of services in reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Astugue is skilled at rebuilding bites with an eye toward a beautifully balanced-looking result. As needed, we also coordinate your care with additional specialists we trust that can provide an important component towards your overall treatment. We work with the best oral surgeons, gum surgeons, orthodontists, physical therapists, and ceramists in the New Orleans area.

It’s important to us to be able to provide you with the care you need, whether you have a typical oral health problem or a less common one. For example, we offer treatment solutions and care for our patients who have pain in the jaw joint, surrounding muscles, or headaches from Temporomandibular Disorder (often simply called “TMJ” by patients). The sleep guards we provide often help, as do relaxation techniques. Dr. Astugue is also certified in injecting Botox. While he only offers this treatment for pain issues (and not for purely cosmetic reasons), because of his skills as a cosmetic dentist, he is adept at placing the injections. For patients with more extensive TMJ pain, we can refer you to a physical therapist who is located less than a mile down the road from us who specializes in TMJ treatment.
